Download Solution PDF- Balun is a circuit device used to connect a balanced transmission line to an unbalanced load.
- More commonly, an unbalanced transmission line such as a coaxial cable can be connected to a balanced load such as an antenna or any twin wireline.
- For high frequencies, different kinds of transmission-line baluns exist.
- At low frequencies, an ordinary transformer can be used to isolate the ground from the load as shown in the figure below:
