கணக்கீடு:
இரும்பின் அளவு = 20/100 × 1000 = 200கிராம் (1கிகி = 1000 கிராம்)
மணலின் அளவு = 1000 - 200 = 800 கிராம்
சேர்க்க வேண்டிய மணலின் அளவை x எனக்கொள்க
கேள்வியின்படி;
⇒ 200/(1000 + x) = 10/100
⇒ 2000 = 1000 + x
⇒ x = 1000 கிராம் = 1 கிகி
∴ சேர்க்க வேண்டிய மணலின் அளவு 1 கிகி.
