Given:

A whole number is added to 25.

The same number is subtracted from 25.

Calculation:

Let the whole number be represented as "m"

⇒ Adding m to 25: 25 + m

⇒ Subtracting m from 25: 25 - m

⇒ Resulting number = 25 - m + m + 25 = 50

∴ The sum of the resulting number is 50.
