Download Solution PDFFormula used
Distance = Speed × time
Calculation
Time required by Ram to cover 84 km distance with a rate 36km/hr = 84/36
= 7/3 or 2(1/3) = 2 hr 20 min (140 minutes)
Also, if the vehicle stops for 5 min. at the end of every 10 km then, the vehicle has to stop a total 8
time for 5 min.
= 1/10 × 80 = 8 times (the last 4 km will be covered at one go)
Total stopping time = 8 × 5 = 40 min(s)
Total time required = 140 + 40 = 180 minutes.
The answer is 180 minutes.
