The National Testing Agency organises the UGC NET examination on behalf of the University Grants Commission. Kashmiri is one of the 82 subjects, and this examination is conducted biannually. We will discuss in detail the UGC NET Kashmiri Syllabus here. In 2019, the UGC NET Kashmiri Paper III was eliminated from the syllabus, and only Papers I and II were retained. It’s a must for the candidates to be familiar with the UGC NET syllabus for Kashmiri to cross the barrier of the cutoff easily. They must take note of the UGC NET Kashmiri syllabus very carefully.
- The UGC NET Kashmiri Paper II consists of 100 multiple-choice questions.
- In June 2019, the UGC NET Kashmiri cutoff for Junior Research Fellow and Assistant Professor was 58.00%, almost similar to the December 2018 cutoff, 58.67%.
- The UGC NET Kashmiri cutoff for Assistant Professor only was 58.00% and 53.33% in December 2018 and June 2019, respectively. The UGC NET cutoff has decreased from December 2018 to June 2019. It depends mainly on the total strength of the candidates who appeared and the difficulty level of the paper.

UGC NET Kashmiri Syllabus 2025
The UGC NET Kashmiri syllabus enables students to construct a study plan for their preparation. The syllabus consists of ten major units, further divided into sub-units. A candidate who wishes to score the highest marks in the examination must prepare all the topics mentioned in the UGC NET Kashmiri syllabus. UGC NET Kashmiri Exam Pattern 2025
There are two papers in the UGC NET Kashmiri examination-
- Paper I- General Paper on Teaching and Research Aptitude (compulsory for all candidates)
- Paper II- Kashmiri (As chosen by the candidates)
NTA conducts the examination in the Computer Based Test mode, and the duration of the examination is 3 hours (no break between two papers). 100 multiple-choice questions are asked, and each has four options, and one is correct.

-> The UGC NET Answer Key 2025 June was released on the official website ugcnet.nta.ac.in on 06th July 2025.
-> The UGC NET June 2025 exam will be conducted from 25th to 29th June 2025.
-> The UGC-NET exam takes place for 85 subjects, to determine the eligibility for 'Junior Research Fellowship’ and ‘Assistant Professor’ posts, as well as for PhD. admissions.
-> The exam is conducted bi-annually - in June and December cycles.
