Explanation:

The higher the water content per cubic meter of concrete, the higher will be the fluidity of concrete. However, to increase the workability, the water-cement ratio is to be increased and it can be done either by increasing the water for the same cement content or reducing the cement content for the given water content.

According to Abram’s law, the strength of a concrete mix is inversely related to the weight ratio of water to cement.  Higher the W/C ratio, the lower will be the strength.
