Concept

The inductance of an air core solenoid is given by:

\(L={\mu _oN^2A\over l}\)

where, L = Inductance

N = No. of turns

A = Area 

l = Length

Explanation

From the above expression, we observed that self-inductance is directly proportional to the square of the number of solenoid turns.
