Formula Used:

Average sale per product = (Sum of sales for the product by all companies) ÷ 3

Total sales per company = Sum of sales for all products by the company

Calculations:

Step 1: Calculate the average sale per product.

Product A: (2750 + 2500 + 3500) ÷ 3 = 2916.67

Product B: (3250 + 3000 + 3150) ÷ 3 = 3133.33

Product C: (2250 + 1750 + 2400) ÷ 3 = 2133.33

⇒ The highest average sale per company is for the product B.

Step 2: Calculate the total sales per company.

Company X: 2750 + 3250 + 2250 = 8250

Company Y: 2500 + 3000 + 1750 = 7250

Company Z: 3500 + 3150 + 2400 = 9050

⇒ The lowest average sale per product is for the company Y.

∴ The highest average sale per company is for the product B and the lowest average sale per product is for the company Y.
