Given

A right angle triangle with sides 8cm, 15 cm and 17 cm. 

Formula Used

Basic of right angled triangle and circumcircle.

Calculation

The given triangle is right angled triangle as the sides 8 cm, 15 cm and 17 cm are making Pythagoras triplet.

Here, the hypotenuse is 17 cm.

In a right angled triangle the length of the circumradius is half the length of the hypotenuse.

So, circumradius, r = 17/2 = 8.5 cm 

Area of the circumcircle = π r2

Area = 3.14 × (8.5)2 = 226.865 cm2

∴ The area of the circumcircle is 227 cm2.
