The Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education (APSCHE) has released the AP EDCET Syllabus and Exam Pattern on the official website. Candidates should be thorough with the AP EDCET Syllabus for effective preparation for the common entrance exam. Familiarity with the syllabus and exam pattern will assist candidates in knowing the topics from which most questions are generally asked in the AP EDCET Entrance Exam. The key highlights are:

• The Department of Education, Tirupati on behalf of the Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education conducts AP EDCET for admission into B.Ed regular courses and B.ED Special Education in the Colleges of Education in Andhra Pradesh for the academic year 2025-26.
• As per the AP EDCET Exam Pattern, the common entrance test will be of objective type multiple-choice examination. The exam will consist of 150 questions and the duration will be 2 hours.
• Candidates must follow the right preparation strategies and books to obtain the desired AP EDCET Result in the entrance exam.

AP EDCET Syllabus 2025

The AP EDCET Syllabus is very important for the candidates as it gives details on exam-relevant topics and also helps you to score more than the AP EDCET Cut-Off marks. We have shared the Andhra Pradesh EDCET Exam syllabus for the reference of the candidates in a detailed manner:

PART-A: General English 

• Reading Comprehension
• Correction of Sentences, Articles, Prepositions, Tenses, Spelling. 
• Vocabulary, Synonyms, Antonyms. 
• Transformation of Sentences - Simple, Compound and Complex. Voices, Direct Speech and Indirect Speech.

PART-B: General Knowledge & Teaching Aptitude

• Questions to test the ability of the candidate’s general knowledge of the environment around him and its application to society. 
• Questions to test knowledge of current events and of such matters of everyday observation and experience in their scientific outlook as is expected of an educated person. 
• Questions on India and its neighboring countries, especially pertaining to History, Culture, Geography, Ecology, Economics, General Policy, and Scientific Research. 
• Questions relating to various aspects of teaching aptitude such as the ability to communicate, ability to deal with Children, ability to recognize individual differences etc.

Part-C: Methodology

Questions to test the candidate's knowledge of the subject opted from the following

• Mathematics(MS)
• Physical Sciences (Physics and Chemistry) (PS)
• Biological Sciences (Botany and Zoology) (BS)
• Social Studies (Geography, History, Civics, and Economics) (SS)
• English ( Special English in B.A.)

Note: The syllabus of the above given four subjects will be of graduation level.

AP EDCET Exam Pattern 2025

Candidates should be familiar with the AP EDCET Exam Pattern to gain a deep understanding of the exam structure, the number of sections, marking weightage, etc. The exam pattern for the entrance exam is shared below:

• The test will be of objective type (multiple choices)
• A total of 150 questions will be asked in the exam
• The duration of the common entrance exam is two hour
• The question paper comprises three parts- General English, General Knowledge & Teaching Aptitude, and Methodology.
• The question paper will be in English and Telugu except for the English methodology. However, candidates opting to write the Entrance Test in Urdu shall be served with an Urdu paper.

The candidate has to select one of the following subjects. It comprises 100 questions for 100 marks. The subject-wise exam pattern is detailed below.
