The Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) is a competitive national exam in India. It is carried out to ascertain a candidate's eligibility for teaching posts at Central Government-run institutions, including Kendriya Vidyalayas and Navodaya Vidyalayas. Candidates who have finished or are in the last year of their teacher preparation programs, such as a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) or its equivalent, are eligible to take the exam.
