The National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) released a notification containing the details of the Eligibility for NIFT Entrance Exam. The candidates interested in applying for various undergraduate and postgraduate courses must have detailed information about the NIFT eligibility criteria 2025 for the entrance exam. The NIFT eligibility criteria include age limits, educational qualifications, and nationality criteria. These criteria also differ from programme to programme. NIFT also allows foreign candidates to apply for the courses if they satisfy all the criteria.

NIFT Eligibility 2025
The NIFT Eligibility Criteria 2025 specify that for undergraduate programs, the maximum age limit is 24 years, while there is no age limit for postgraduate programs. Educational qualifications vary depending on the course, and there is no restriction on the number of attempts. Both Indian and foreign nationals are eligible to apply for NIFT.

NIFT Age Limit
The NIFT age limit for 2025 requires UG program candidates to be under 24 years of age as of August 1, 2024, with a 5-year relaxation for SC/ST/PwD candidates. For PG programs, there is no age restriction, offering greater flexibility to applicants regardless of category.

NIFT Educational Qualification
The minimum educational qualification for all the programmes is different. The candidates must check the following carefully:

NIFT Number of Attempts
There is no limit for the number of attempts. A candidate can apply for the UG programme until he attains 24 years of age (5 years relaxation for SC/ST/PwD candidates) and as many times as he wants for the PG programme. Additionally, he should satisfy the minimum educational qualifications as decided by the recruiting body.
NIFT Eligibility on Nationality
Foreign/NRI candidates interested in applying for the courses can also be admitted to the colleges. However, these candidates must satisfy the eligibility criteria mentioned for them.
NIFT Eligibility for Foreign/NRI Students
Foreign/NRI candidates need not appear for the NIFT Entrance exam. These candidates must satisfy the following criteria:

The candidates must send the SAT scores directly to the NIFT Head Office before 30th April 2023. The candidates whose SAT scores will not be received from NIFT, will not be alloted any course. The remaining candidates will be given admission according to the SAT merit list and preference of the candidate.
The candidates applying for MFM have to send the GMAT score while the candidates who are applying for M. Des. and M.FTech. must send their GRE score to the NIFT Head Office Delhi. Candidates whose scores will not be received by the Educational Testing Services or Graduate Management Admission Council, will not be considered for admission. The admission will be done based on the scores as well as the preference of the candidate.
NRI reserved seats will not be converted to any other category. The seats vacant after the admission in the NRI category will be alloted to all the applicable candidates on the basis of Common Merit Rank as NRI sponsored seats. |

For the Bachelor of Fashion Technology (B.FTech) Programme, it is essential that the candidate has Physics and Mathematics as two of his subjects at the +2 level.
