The Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE) has conducted the Manipal University Online Entrance Exam (MU OET) exam to grant entrance to the university. The MU OET is now known as Manipal Entrance Test (MET). MU OET will take place in two phases - phase 1 will conducted on April 18, 19 2025 and phase 2 on May 12, 2025.

• There is no age limit specified to apply for the MU OET.
• The candidates must upload original and valid scanned copies of the entailed documents while filling up the application form. 
• The MAHE will provide only two attempts to each candidate in the examination. The best of the two is considered as the final score.

MU OET Application Fee

MU OET Eligibility Criteria 2025

To test the suitability of the candidates, the MAHE has set eligibility criteria according to the courses offered. The candidates must read all the eligibility criteria carefully before applying for the MU OET:

• Education Qualification: The candidate should have a minimum of 50% marks in relevant subjects. Intermediate graduates or equivalent examinations from a recognized board can register.
• Undergraduate Programs: Candidates should have taken relevant subjects in their 10+2 or equivalent.
• Postgraduate Programs: Candidates should have done their undergraduate in a relevant program.
• For Lateral Entry: Candidates are required to have passed in 12th standard / A level / IB / American High School diploma or equivalent with English, Biology, Chemistry, and Physics or Biotechnology or Mathematics or any other Life Sciences subjects as optional subject and a minimum of 55% marks taken together in Biology, Chemistry and Physics or Biotechnology or Mathematics or any other Life Sciences subject.

MU OET Registration Process 2025

To register for the MU OET, the candidates must follow the below mentioned instructions:

Step 1: Firstly, the candidates have to download the admit card from the official website at https://www.manipal.edu/entrancetest.

Step 2: The applicant must now present his/her identity proof such as admit card and other documents mentioned in the following sections of this article.

Step 3: The examiner will authenticate the provided documents. 

Step 4: Subsequent to the authentication of the documents, the candidates can proceed to their assigned seats for the MU OET. 

MU OET Selection Process 2025

The selection of the candidates will be based on the marks obtained in the MU OET. From the scores of the MU OET, a merit listed will be created. All the eligible candidates will be called for the counseling session. In the counseling session, the candidates, on the basis of their score and rank will be allotted seats they have selected.

MU OET Admit Card 2025

The MU OET Admit Card issuance is based on slot-booking. Candidates who wish to appear for the exam need to pre-book the slot (as per their choice and preferences) through the MAHE official portal. Once the application is accepted, the official authorities release the MU OET admit card for the candidates to download the same. The candidates taking the exam can download the admit card by entering their application form number and password. The steps to download the admit card are as follows:

Step 3: Once authenticated, the admit card will be displayed.

Documents Required at MU OET Exam Center

MU OET 2025 Answer Key

The exam conducting body will release the MU OET answer key on the conclusion of the CBT, on the official website, after the exam is conducted. The candidates will be able to cross check their answers with the ones mentioned in the official answer key and calculate their tentative scores. The test takers must use the MU OET answer key for reference purposes only, and the score obtained from the answer key is only indicative in nature.

MU OET 2025 Result 

The MU OET results will be announced soon after the exams on the official website of the institute. The candidates will be allotted seats according to their scores and ranks in the merit list. The shortlisted candidates will be called for counseling of MU OET 2025 on the basis of scores. The candidates can follow the undermentioned instruction to download the scorecard:

Step 1: Go to the official website of Manipal Academy of Higher Education at https://www.manipal.edu/entrancetest.

Step 3: Enter your MU OET 2025 application number and OTBS password have to be provided.

MU OET 2025 Cut offs

The candidates can download the cutt-off from the MAHE website once it is released. The candidates must score higher than cut off marks to qualify for the subsequent rounds of the selection process. The factors affecting the cut off marks are number of MU OET applicants, previous year cut off trends, difficulty level of the exam, seats available for the course etc.. 

MU OET Counseling Round 2025

In order to be eligible for the MU OET counseling round, the candidate must meet a certain eligibility criteria. If the candidates live up to the eligibility criteria, they will have to go through the following steps of the counseling session:

• Registration: Login to counseling portal using their MU OET 2025 application form number as application number and OTBS password. 
• Choice Filling: Pay the required counseling fee and choose their preferred campuses and courses. Select in order of preference. 
• Allotment of Seats: Candidates are allotted as per their rank, preference and availability of seats. Download the allotment letter. 
• Payment of Fee: Confirm admission by paying the prescribed fee. Document verification also has to be done to confirm the admission of the candidates. 

Important Points About MU OET 2025

To avoid any hassle and inconvenience, the candidates must read the important information on MU OET listed below:

• The MU OET admit card should be produced at the time of counseling/admission and must not contain any discrepancies. 
• Do not carry any un-essential items to the examination center. Report to the examination room at least 1 hour before the time of examination.
