The Maharashtra Council of Agricultural Education and Research Post Graduate Common Entrance Test is referred to as MCAER PG CET. The Maharashtra Agricultural Universities Examination Board (MAUEB) conducts the state-level MCAER PG CET test every year to shortlist aspirants for admission in PG level courses including Master of Science (MSc), Master of Engineering and Technology (MTech) and Master of Fisheries Science (MFSc) offered at State Agricultural Universities (SAUs). Several Post Graduate programs at Maharashtra's State Agricultural Universities are open to admission through MCAER Post Graduate. 

  • Candidates should be aware that the final selection procedure gives the test a 70% weighting and the undergraduate grades obtained a 30% weighting.
  • Each of the available streams has a different syllabus for the MCAER PG CET 2022 Common Entrance Test. The entire curriculum is based on the theoretical subjects studied in the UG courses for the various streams.

MCAER PG CET 2023 Exam Wise Overall Marks Weightage For Admissions

The overall marks weightage for both the MCAER PG CET 2023 examination is detailed below for the candidate’s reference

  • Marks obtained in the Common Entrance Test (CET) of respective faculty for the current year to be conducted by concerned authority and CGPA of the qualifying degree examination in the proportion of 70:30 without weightages, respectively.
  • Minimum 55% for Open category and minimum 50% for reserved category.
  • The candidate should have passed the Under-Graduate degree examination with minimum 5.0 CGPA.
