The Banaras Hindu University (BHU), Varanasi has released the BHU Nursing Officer Eligibility for the post of Nursing Officer for the 2024 cycle. BHU Nursing Officer Eligibility Criteria 2024

candidates must be Indian citizens under the age of 30 to be eligible. They must possess either a B.Sc. (Hons.) in Nursing from a recognized university or institute, or a Diploma in General Nursing and Midwifery from an accredited board or council. Multiple attempts are permitted until the age limit is reached. Applicants must make sure that they meet all the given criteria or else their application will stand canceled. The minimum requirements for the post of Nursing Officer have been given below:

BHU Nursing Officer Age Limit

According to the BHU Nursing Officer Eligibility decided by the BHU, the candidates must not be more than 30 years of age. However, reservation, relaxations and concessions for SC/ST/OBC/PwBDs candidates will be applicable in accordance with reservation policy of the Govt. of India. Period spent on working against any post in the project/scheme or on contract/daily wage basis in BHU including broken period of service rendered as indicated above may also be taken into account for the purpose of age relaxation for appointment to the post in regular establishment provided that one stretch of such service is for more than six months. There is no age bar for permanent employees of BHU and age relaxation to Ex-Servicemen shall be applicable as per GoI rules. 

BHU Nursing Officer Educational Qualification

Candidates who are participating in the selection process for the post of Nursing Officer must have fulfilled the minimum educational requirements:

• B.Sc. (Hons.) in (Nursing)/ Regular course in B.Sc. Nursing from a recognized University or Institute

OR 

• Post Basic B.Sc. (Nursing) from a recognized University or Institute.
• Registered as Nurse or Nurse and Midwife (RN or RN and RM) with State Nursing Council

OR 

• Diploma in General Nursing and Midwifery from a recognized Board or Council
• Registered as Nurse or Nurse and Midwife (RN or RN and RM) with the State Nursing Council.

BHU Nursing Officer Nationality

According to the eligibility given by the BHU for the post of Nursing Officer, candidates must be Indian citizens. Candidates belonging to another state within India can apply for the post.

BHU Nursing Officer Experience

The applicants for the post of Nursing Officer need to have some experience as stated by the BHU. The minimum experience required is as follows:

• One year experience in a minimum fifty bedded registered hospital after acquiring the required educational qualifications for B.Sc. (Hons.) in (Nursing)/ Regular course in B.Sc.

OR

• Two years of experience in a minimum fifty bedded registered hospital after acquiring the required educational qualifications for Diploma in General Nursing and Midwifery .
