Vellore Institute of Technology conducts engineering entrance exam (VITEEE) every year. This year the VIT exam conducting committee will introduce the aptitude section in the VITEEE 2026 exam pattern. VIT will release an official notification along with the VITEEE exam pattern for the academic year 2026. The Aptitude test will carry a total of 10 marks. Whereas the Physics and Chemistry section questions have been reduced to 35 from 40. These changes in exam patterns are being done based on the feedback from academia. VITEEE Exam Pattern 2026

VITEEE is an online mode exam i.e. Computer-based test and there will be MCQs (multiple choice questions). Check the below table to note the VIT exam pattern. Note the sections, no. of questions and maximum marks:

• The medium of the test will be English.
• There’s a total of 25 questions in the exam from various sections such as Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics/Biology, Aptitude, and English.
• The exam duration is 2 hours and 30 minutes.
• There is no negative marking in the VITEEE exam.
• One mark will be allotted for every right answer.
