Given:

Total students: 100

Telugu & Hindi: 12

Hindi & English: 15

English & Telugu: 18

English speakers: 30

Hindi speakers: 40

Telugu speakers: 30

All three: 5

Now,

Calculation:

Students speaking only Telugu and Hindi: 12 - 5 = 7

Students speaking only Hindi and English: 15 - 5 = 10

Students speaking only English and Telugu: 18 - 5 = 13

Students speaking only English: 30 - (10 + 5 + 13) = 30 - 28 = 2

Students speaking only Telugu: 30 - (13 + 5 + 7) = 30 - 25 = 5

Students speaking only Hindi: 40 - (10 + 5 + 7) = 40 - 22 = 18

∴ 18 students can speak only Hindi.

Hence the correct answer is "Option 2"
