So the Ratio becomes 13 : 11
Calculation:
Let the price of the articles initially be 50 and 60 respectively
The price of first article is increased by 30%
⇒ 50 + (30/100) × 50 = 65
The price of second article is decreased by X%
⇒ 60 - {(X/100) × 60} = 60 × (100 - X)/100
So the Ratio becomes 13 : 11
⇒ 65/{60× (100 - X)/100} = 13/11
⇒ 715 = 780 × (100 - X)/100
⇒ 71500 = 78000 - 780X
⇒ 780X = 6500
∴ X = 8.33
