Concept:

If a1, a2, ….,an forms an AP then the nth term of an AP is given by : an = a + (n - 1) × d, where a is the first term and d is the common difference.

Calculation:

Two digit numbers which are divisible by 4 are:

12, 16, 20, ..., 96 forms an AP with,

First term (a) = 12,

Common difference (d) = 4 and,

nth terms (an) = 96.

⇒ an = a + (n - 1) × d = 96

⇒ 12 + (n - 1) × 4 = 96

∴ n = 22
