संकल्पना:

एक प्रतिरोधक में शक्ति अपव्यय निम्न द्वारा दिया जाता है;

P = VI = I2R = V2/R

जहां;

V → प्रतिरोध में वोल्टता 

I→ प्रतिरोध के माध्यम से धारा 

R→ प्रतिरोध

गणना:

परिपथ में 20Ω और 60Ω समानांतर में हैं;

I = (120-65)/(10+15+30) = 1 A

इसलिए;

10 Ω प्रतिरोध में शक्ति अपव्यय = I2R = 1 × 10 = 10 W
