Mitchell Starc Injury: The Australian bowling spearhead Mitchell Starc has been one of the most fearsome bowler in the modern-era. His sheer pace with swing makes him one of the formidable bowlers of all time. Starc has been a match-winner for the Aussies for almost a decade.
The two-time ODI World Cup winner is absent from the ongoing Champions Trophy 2025. Earlier the reason was stated that it was for “personal reason“, But now, he revealed that it was his “sore ankle” because of which he pulled out of the tournament.
After suffering ankle soreness during Australia’s two-Test series, Starc stated for the first time and revealed his reason for withdrawal from the Champions Trophy.
“There are a few different reasons, some personal views,” Starc said on the Willow Talk podcast which was co-hoted by his better half and Australian Women’s captain Alyssa Healy.
“I had a bit of ankle pain through the (Border-Gavaskar) Test series, so I just need to get that one right. Obviously, we have the Test Championship final coming up and a West Indies tour after that.
It is clearly seen that Starc is focused about his future plans and wants to perform well for his country.
