He is the second designated wicket-keeper in Test history, after Zimbabwe great Andy Flower, to score centuries in both innings of a match and also surpassed MS Dhoni’s record for the most Test centuries by an Indian wicket-keeper.
Rising from 8th to 7th, Pant is now the highest-ranked wicketkeeper-batter, cementing his pivotal role in India’s Test future, especially post the retirements of Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli.
