RJD leader Tej Pratap Yadav is embroiled in controversy after a viral post, later deleted, claimed he had a 12-year relationship with a woman named Anushka Yadav. The incident ignited a political uproar, leading to his expulsion from the party by his father and party chief, Lalu Prasad Yadav. He has been expelled from the party for six years over what has been described as “disregard for moral values in personal life”. And now, Anushka’s brother Akash Yadav has broken his silence on the matter.

Akash Yadav said, “Looking at whatever has happened, all I would like to say is that this is privacy. It is a matter of a man and a woman. It would be better if the two of them spoke about this. My sister’s character assassination was being done by a few people, so I have to respond to them…I would like to tell Lalu Prasad Yadav not to ruin his family by being influenced by some outsider. The outsiders have entered your house and are working to finish your family. The result is before you. The man who was working hard to make his brother the CM has now been ousted from the party…”
He supported Tej Pratap and said that he has not committed any crime, and this is a completely personal matter. Akash appealed to Tejashwi Yadav to maintain the respect of the two families and said that the comments being made on Anushka’s character are wrong. ‘Anushka is my younger sister and whatever her decision will be, I will fulfil the duty of an elder brother,’- He said.

According to an Aajtak report, Akash Yadav clarified that no official confirmation can be made on whether Tej Pratap and Anushka got married or not, because this is a completely personal matter. He said, ‘Anushka is at home right now and it will be better if she talks about it.’

Regarding Tej Pratap Yadav being expelled from RJD, he said, ‘We condemn it. Has Tej Pratap committed any crime? Has he raped or has he tarnished the family’s image?’
In the statement, he said, ‘We have nothing to lose, but Tejashwi Yadav has a lot.’ He also shared the information that Anushka Yadav is the granddaughter of freedom fighter Amir Guru Ji, due to which his family is socially and historically prestigious. In this entire controversy, there has been a stir on both political and family fronts.

The Facebook post, which went viral, claimed that Tej Pratap Yadav had been in a long-term relationship with a woman named Anushka Yadav. Here’s what he posted before deleting it- “The one seen in this picture is Anushka Yadav. We have known each other for the last 12 years. We are in love and have been in a relationship for 12 years,” the post said. Soon after, Tej Pratap claimed his Facebook account had been “hacked”. He alleged there was an attempt to “defame and harass” him and his family. Later, Lalu Prasad announced his expulsion from the party and family, accusing him of being ‘irresponsible’.
In 2018, just a few months after their marriage, Tej Pratap filed for divorce from Aishwarya Rai. Following this, Aishwarya accused him of physical abuse, drug use, and cross-dressing. The case is currently ongoing in the family court.
