The National Testing Agency (NTA) has extended the application submission deadline for the Joint Council of Scientific and Industrial Research – UGC National Eligibility Test (CSIR-UGC NET) 2025. The exams take place on the days of July 26, 27 and 28.
The official notice states the application window will remain open until June 26 (up to 11:59 PM), and the exam fee can be paid by June 27 (up to 11:59 PM).
Candidates will have the opportunity to make corrections in the particulars of the online application form from June 28 to June 29 (up to 11:59 PM).
Candidates are encouraged to visit the official website – csirnet.nta.ac.in – and check their particulars when the correction window is available and make the necessary corrections in their respective applications if necessary.
The CSIR-UGC NET June 2025 assessments are intended for Junior Research Fellowship, appointment of Assistant Professor, admission to PhD in Indian Universities or Colleges.
CSIR NET June 2025: Who Can apply?
Candidates who want to appear for the CSIR UGC NET June 2025 examination must comply with the eligibility criteria specified in the official notification. In terms of academic eligibility, candidates should have the qualifying degree in the qualifications mentioned in the CSIR UGC NET 2025 notification.
Moreover, applicants need to comply with the eligibility age limits specified for Junior Research Fellowship, and Assistant Professors.
UGC CSIR-NET June 2025: How To Apply

2. On the homepage click on the link for ‘Joint CSIR-UGC-NET June 2025: Click here for register/login’.
3. A new window will open.
4. Register yourself with your email ID and mobile number.
5. Fill the application form with the required details.
6. Upload required documents and pay the application fees.
7. Submit the form and download the confirmation page.
8. Keep a copy for reference.
Exam Pattern And Medium
The exam will be conducted in Computer Based Test (CBT) mode for 180 minutes (3 hours).
There will be objective type questions (MCQs) in the question papers and the medium will be bilingual (English and Hindi).
There are a total 5 test papers: 1. Chemical Sciences 2. Earth, Atmospheric, Ocean and Planetary Sciences 3. Life Sciences 4. Mathematical Sciences 5. Physical Sciences.

The examination fee is also to be paid online only through payment gateway using debit/credit cards, internet banking, or UPI.
