Delhi Weather Update: Yellow Alert Issued As Thunderstorms And Gusty Winds Loom; IMD Warns Of Rain Today – Check Forecast

Those planning a trip to Delhi/NCR must make their travel plans accordingly, as IMD has predicted cloudy weather ahead. On 4th June, there is also a possibility of light rain, thunderstorms, lightning, and strong winds in the city.

Delhi Weather Update: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a yellow alert in Delhi today, June 3, as rain accompanied by Thunderstorms is likely to sweep the city. In a detailed forecast, the Weather Body has issued a fresh alert stating that gusty winds traveling at a speed of 40-50 kmph and temporarily reaching up to 60 kmph are likely over many places in the capital. Notably, humidity is likely to stay between 50 to 70, while maximum temperatures might reach up to 36 degrees Celsius.

Those planning a trip to Delhi/NCR must make their travel plans accordingly, as IMD has predicted cloudy weather ahead. On 4th June, there is also a possibility of light rain, thunderstorms, lightning, and strong winds in the city. During these hours, the maximum temperatures are expected to stay between 34 to 36 degrees Celsius. Thereafter, from 5th to 8th June, Delhiites might witness partly cloudy skies, with the temperature touching the 40-degree mark. However, no heat wave conditions have been forecasted in the national capital.

Breaking down the upcoming weather interference in Northwest India, IMD said, “The Northern Limit of Monsoon continues to pass through 17.0°N/55°E, 17.5°N/60°E, 18°N/65°E, 18.5°N/70°E, Mumbai.” Meanwhile, the Met Department has predicted no large change in maximum temperatures and marked fall in minimum temperatures in the past 24 hours over Delhi.

Notably, IMD has issued a fresh alert for more rain in several regions. The affected places likely to receive intense downpour are Uttarakhand, East Rajasthan, Punjab, Haryana, on 3rd June; Kerala & Mahe during 3rd-4th June. The commuters in Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, Chhattisgarh, West Bengal, and Jharkhand may also face delays and traffic disruptions in the coming days due to rain.
