There will be a planned power cut in several areas of the city on June 28, 2023 from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm due to maintenance work. The Tamil Nadu Generation and Distribution Corporation (TANGEDCO) has said that if the repair work is completed before the scheduled time, the power supply will also be restored earlier.
You are requested to plan your day keeping this power cut in mind.

Selaiyur’s Karpagam Nagar, Ranganathan Nagar, Devaraj Nagar, Kamakshi Nagar, Balaji Nagar, Bharat Nagar, MGR Nagar, Sharada Garden area, Bharat Medical College area, and part of Agaram Main Road.
Pallavaram
SBI Colony, part of Purushothaman Nagar, Gajalakshmi Nagar, Gajapati Nagar, NSR Road, Kamala Street, MGR Street, Pachappa Nagar, and Kumaran Kundram area.
Poarur
Kundrathur Temple Way, Kumaran Nagar, PKV Maha Nagar, RP Dharmalingam Nagar and Himalayan area.
Let us tell you that earlier the responsibility of electricity generation, distribution and transmission in Tamil Nadu was with a unified body, which operated under the Electricity (Supply) Act 1948. But TNEB was reorganized on 1 November 2010 under Section 131 of the Electricity Act 2003, after which three entities were formed – TNEB Limited, TANGEDCO and Tamil Nadu Transmission Corporation Limited.
